The Kjell and Vicki Nielsen Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors from a public high school in San Diego County. Students must be planning to attend an accredited institution in San Diego County and will enroll in at least 9 credit hours per semester. Students must be foreign-born or have parents who were foreign born. Students must also have parents who have never earned a degree from a community college or four-year university. Students must be actively involved in serving their community as demonstrated by a minimum 100 hours of community service while in high school.
